Yeah my favorite are CP pistons going from all the feedback I've read about various pistons. And what I personally run.
Ferrea are the valves you want, but I really wouldn't bother. Just clean up the stock ones and make sure its all shimmed correctly.

No, You'll need a set of 264 cams at least. Could always go custom though as they work out no more expensive.
It all depends how thorough you want to be. Minimum you'll need is the cams and to make sure the valves/lifters are shimmed to the right clearence. And Re-grind the valves into the head to ensure a good seal. However, I would probaly recommend getting some uprated valve springs as well.

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] My Engine Rebuild
oil cooler would be overkill personally.
Definately FPR though as will be required for tuning.

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] My Engine Rebuild
yeah it definately depends on the planned useage. Oil that is too cooled is no good.
Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] My Engine Rebuild
just so you know my engine is stripped down and ready to be checked and worked on photos so far
Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] My Engine Rebuild
