As the title says...
I already have Osram Silver Star headlight bulbs fitted but during the winter months I tend to drive with side lights on most of the time since people dont seem to notice my mica blue car in the dimness of winter and wandered if there were any brighter sidelight bulbs people could recommend?

Try some white LED ones from Autobulbsdirect.

Uber Bright

Not sure if the second ones will fit under the covers though.
Oh and clean your lenses that'll help too.

Just turn on your normal headlights?
Re: Brighter sidelights?
Carefull with some of the ultra bright leds, some are to bright to be legal.
As mentioned though just put yours lights on, i tend to use my lazy eyes half way up with the lights on full in low light conditions.

Re: Brighter sidelights?
I had some white LED sidelights on mine for a while, and I really didn't like the colour.
They're waaaay whiter than my Raybrigg's and Philips 'Bluevision' bulbs (which incidentally are a fair bit whiter than normal bulbs)
This pic shows how much so:

For the sake of an extra quid you could just buy decent bulbs in the first place

Re: Brighter sidelights?
I have the Osram silver stars fitted there a good bulb.
As for LED lights being too blue I was wandering if they would have that effect.
In the end i have decided to order these:
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/2X4-LED-Xenon-whi ... m153.l1262
Since there cheap enough to play with and if there crap i'll just change them back.
The reason for me wanting to change the bulbs is that I have just been upgrading my headlight and sidelight bulbs on my bike so thought while in a bulb buying mood get brighter sidelights as well

Re: Brighter sidelights?
Is it just me? Are the links for these side light bulbs for different fittings than my car?
I have a MK1a and they have the old-style small push and twist type. All the links seem to show a push-fit (no twist) style fitting.
Mine are like this........

Re: Brighter sidelights?
Simple answer yes. The Mk1b has the push in lights.
Re: Brighter sidelights?
