Hello,

Well i made the mistake of going out with 5 MK1's on sunday and the ensuing drive home was fantastic but i just couldnt help thinking "this would be so much better in a Mk1"

So im coming back to a mk1 the Mk2 is up for sale and all going well with the bloke who has shouted dibbs on it ill be going back to a MK1 before the end of next week :thumleft:

Ive seen a very nice little black Mk1b and fingers crossed and pending no further wife intervention ill be driving a proper MR2 again soon :thumleft:

I get an almost perverse bordering on sexual satisfaction from taking a minging car and making it shinier than when it came off the production line 8-[

also cleaning/claying/cutting/treating/polishing/waxing/sealing is very therapeutic if you have the time and the patience. :thumleft:

i think mk1s are nice but i quite like my mk2, it certainly doesn't make me #-o each to their own i suppose.

Just a bit of banter.. although didn't your other half regret selling his Mk1 and getting a Mk2, and is now back in a Mk1?! It is amazing how many people return to the Mk1...

i wouldn't say he regretted selling the mk1 cause his was fraught with issues, and yes he has gone back to a mk1. but not just any mk1, a supercharger, which is due out of the garage any day now with a sparkly new engine overhaul!!

the plus side is that i am now the proud owner of a beautiful mk2 :mrgreen:
