Ill sell you my turbo, So I can build a V6:D. I like n/a's Nothing like a nice N/a with its instant throttle response for me. I don't like the calm before the storm with a turbo.

Would love to try a V6 mr2 out tho, Im already in love with the 3vz-fe engine.

Not yet but my wifes family live in Milnrow, which is very close to Littleborough so I may get to drive one sooner than I thought. :thumleft:

MID LIFE CRISIS wrote:Patrick appeared and brought out a rev 3 Turbo, he drove it first to warm her up, again i'm lost for words but the one's mentioned before will do fine lol, with lots more BIG GRINS !!! A very different drive this to before, a bigger "push in to the seat" while the Turbo is boosting, again , very quick and handled well too !!! :D :D

I'm left with alot to think about now, leave as an n/a still pretty quick, go turbo for that rush of boost or V6 for loads of lazy power :-k :-k

What's the weight saving with a 1MZ-FE over the other 2 V6 candidates? And how does it then fair against the 3SGE? Am I right in saying it cannot be supercharged due to the block material? I'd love to know the other differences that made you choose it over the others Lyndon... it revs higher for a start doesn't it?
I'm on 191000 now and it wont run forever...(though it still enjoys a damn good thrashing!)

It's about 30kg lighter than the 3vz I think and it can be supercharged as there is a trd charger that was made for it. :D

Power is more or less the same for both engines, but the 1MZ is lighter and therefore allows a little more performance.

Both engines can be supercharged, but the 3VZ needs modifying slightly to fit the TRD charger. The cast block allows higher boost levels too.

Either way, the MR2 deserves a V6.
