[Mk2] [Generic] What are these coilovers & can anyone re-build them?

Post by Steve Horrocks »

Guys, i've just got these coilovers off Mr Jones, we're led to believe they are Cusco but don't know a model.
You'll have to excuse the dirt, been in Andy's folks yard far a while, will clean up tomoz.
If you can't make out, the shocks have

JIC
Suspension Projects

on a sticker on them.

ring up Maxton suspension in Frodsham, or Kais in Leigh near Wigan. they play about with all sorts of suspension. Maxton even make their own shocks etc.

Agreed, Maxton are about your best bet Steve. They specialise in custom building shocks to the users preferences. I used them a few years ago to rebuild my shocks on my old Suzuki GSX-R 1100. Superb job and highly recommended.

The JIC's you have there are the same as the one's I have on my Rev 3. Pretty hard for normal driving (but bareable), but superb on track and smooth roads. The model is FLT-A2.

Cooincidentally, I'm looking to swap mine for a set of Bilstiens and decent springs if anyones interested.

All the best fella,

EarL.
