Why not use braided lines, a wet flashback arrestor, and plumb the line into the exhaust with a piezo ignitor

OK, I know this is a well documented problem/solution, but have you made sure it's not something else?
My MR2 recently had this problem, it turned out to be one of the o rings on the injectors was weeping, dripping onto the inlet manifold, evaporatiing and making the smell.
Just thought I would throw this into the mix, just in case you have overlooked this, some petrol smells are a warning to be heeded
