Henry Ford "Any customer can have a car painted any colour that he wants so long as it is black"

Modifying a 1 liter is like giving my granny a E. It’s just wrong!!

Tis' the end of an era....

The car doesn't have much phoenix left in it at James and his team have worked long hours to get it working correctly - thanks guys!!!

There was a "few" things wrong with the car, gearbox 4th gear was broken, holes in the inlet and exhaust manifolds, holes in the down pipe, fuel pumps were faulty, ecu replaced, ARP's fitted top and bottom - James has whittled these things down, and the car should be getting mapped again shortly

Its a shame that i will never find out what power the T88 might have made (1.3BAR was pretty rapid), but all things must progress!

I'm sure the new owner of the turbo (which is to be fitted to another MR2) will hopefully show what the turbo could have done - good luck mate, don't forget to buy a neck brace!

Car is now running a GT42RS, with NOS to be fitted soon, looking for some high figures as long as the block holds :pale:

is it only high boost pressure we should be putting the spark plug gap down to 0.6-0.7mm??

i recently put some bkr7eix iridiums in my modded car and only gapped them to 0.8mm?
werth taking out and regapping to 0.7mm???....(theyve only been on 100-150miles)

from what i can gather, looks like i have high lift 272 cams in, and sard 850s, and my idle is set to 1400...(not quite driveable from 1-2k rpm when on the road, over 2k rpm its fine)

Should be fine, your only running 1Bar of pressure aren't you?

When you gonna push for some BIG power, that turbo should be good for 2Bar at least!!!

its mapped to 1.3bar....

tho i cant say ive had any stuttering issues at that boost....so perhaps is ok at 0.8mm.
