[Mk2] [Turbo] Intercooler Piping for Phoenix Power SMIC...?

Post by shabz »

After long last I'm ready to put on my phoenix power side mount...Can anyone recommend any companies that will mail order a set of pipes for this intercooler? or is it better to get them custom fitted?

I have the metal shroud, and plan to use the stock spal fan...is there anything else I would need?

Also, how will I get my hks ssqv to fit onto the custom piping? :-k

I can custom make them if you like but would require your car + intercooler or just the cooler.

Cheers

one of my PP ic pipe is custom, so can be done....
word of warming, these pipes are larger than greddy ic pipes, as ive seen found out (none of my greddy ic mikalors or hoses fit on my PP ic or pipes!) so measure the hoses you need.

It should be easy to do...its just bent tubes end of the day, but I don't know anyone that can do it :|

Is it safe to run with no bov??

Any idea what the pipes should be made of? would aluminium do the trick?

there's a PP kit FS on the OC at the mo' - it has the normal pipework and uses a BOV. do the PP and Apexi intercoolers share the same core ?

shabz, I just used pipes from Viper Performance (google them) to match up with the bolt on pipe from the bottom that's with it.
