PayPal give you the option now of paying the fee yourself (or they did with me!), so I paid something like £20.88 to make sure you got the full £20. If it hasn't worked out like that then let me know and I'll bung you the extra, no worries.

yes i received the full £20 dan so your theory seems to work. so don't worry about it. from michael i received £11 and paypal took £0.57 or something daft. can't get to grips with all this paypal malarky. lets not worry over a few pence, no need to stress out!! lol

Yea Paypal charge about 7% for using it, when people pay into your account, you can't get by it. Just Paypal Reema £10.50 and that will cover everything.

Just waiting to hear back from Pete Kyte and his wife and Ki Williams ( Jinx is following up with them ), Carl and Bev will probably want to go, Shane and Susan are getting back to us when we are in Scotland, so possibly another 4 rooms will go.

Only 12 weeks to go!

Better get me TUX out and see if it still fits

Reema,

Pete Kyte was on there twice so I've removed him, looks like we are going to need to book about 15 rooms now as I know TOXO wants to come. Can you ring Sarah and provisionally book the 15 rooms, plus the rooms for the Friday night too which she said they would do for the same discounted price.

Great to see Shane/Susan, Car/Bev and Ki's name on the list. Any more people who want to attend I suggest you get your names down NOW to give Reema time to get this sorted before she leaves for the Scotland trip.

Steve,

Just leave that top shirt button undone, oh, and don't forget the Hi Karate, you'll have no problem pulling @ all, I'm sure.
Failing that, just tell them about that throbbing powerful engine you have there
I'm sure one way or another you'll be pulling [-X

Hi guys, list updated with people showing interest and money paid. This is obviously going to be popular!

I have called and left a message for Sarah at Mickleover to call me back. I am going to provisionally book 15 double rooms plus 30 places at dinner for the Saturday night and 10 double rooms for those coming on the Friday. Once we know for definite i.e. when deposits are all paid up, I can confirm it all and we can start planning the festivities!! Don't forget we are setting a deadline of Wednesday, 17th September for deposits. If you decide to join in after that I will try my hardest to get you in but obviously there are no guarantees.

Ok all, I called the hotel on Friday and made the following arrangements, all provisionally:

Friday, 5th December – 10x double rooms held (£90.00 per room)
Saturday, 6th December – 15x double rooms held (£90.00 per room) + 30 places at the Christmas Party Night (£39.95 per person)

They are only holding them until Friday, 19th September so we really all must be paid up by Wednesday, 17th September to give me time to sort all of this out.

The £10.00 per person deposit secures the place at the Christmas Party Night. With regards to room bookings, they have said I will need to provide names and credit/debit card details for all guests. There is one of two ways we can do this:
1. You can PM me your full names, cards numbers, expiry dates etc (which I know is not ideal for some of you, particularly those who don’t know me and Pete all that well, we understand its quite a thing to ask)
2. I ask you all to contact the hotel directly and provide your details against the club’s booking.

Either way I have no problem in sorting this out.

So we need to pay the rest of the balance (for me 90 + 90 + 40 - 10 deposit = £210) by Friday 19th to the hotel, yup? Or by Weds 17th if doing it by you?

What name is the booking under at the hotel Reema?

no no, sorry i should have been clearer:

the £10 deposits are for dinner on the saturday and the balance for that will need to be paid some time in november (the hotel will remind me).

with regards to the rooms, they need debit/credit card details to secure the bookings. as i understand it, they don't take any money until check-in (much like other hotels).

sorry guys, i know this is masses of information every five minutes but what can i do, i'm a bit of a perfectionist (pete calls it ocd!!)

at the moment, it's provisionally booked under 'reema'. i think the poor girl was confused by the whole thing so i didn't risk trying to call it 'mr2 club' or 'le mans'!! my contacts are sarah baughan and her colleague sam (female)
