[Mk2] [NA] Red calipers aaah, pretty !

Well i got it done yesterday, well pleased at the end result

I used Hammerite Smooth, a bit thin so lots of coats needed, and even more patience while drying lol !

some one before me had painted mine red, i painted them black whilst I was on fitting the decat and cleaning my wheels up lol, I like black brakes for some reason.

I forgot to say that i used the spray, probably why it was so thin. Atempted the rears last week with VHT engine enamel spray from Halfords (500c) @ £5.99, went on well if a little bright. The sodding stuff dried matt ( yes, it did say on the can ) almost "fluorescent orange", YUK! So this was a second go after advice on here. Must say though, the matt VHT was an excellent base for the Hammerite Smooth spray, only 2 coats It must have taken 8 coats on the fronts
Hammerite Smooth Spray £7.50 ish @ Halfords, could have got it cheaper but it was the Bank Holiday !

LOL!!!! Nothing mate, there is orange ( tasteful, like yours) and MATT FLUORESCENT ORANGE though. It looked like something out of a kiddies paint box ha ha.
