Why would you want to take off the oil filler cap when the engine is running?

Yes it does seem common for this to happen on earlier revisions, something to do with pressure loss.

the system is all preasurised it should do that when you take oil cap off nothing to worry about if you lost a hose it would do the same and run like a bag of poo :thumleft: :thumleft: :thumleft:

perfectly normal

what is hapening is you are allowing unmetered air into the inlet system via the pcv vent after the air flow meter

for a rev 1 and 2 its normal mate.

however if it was a rev 3 you wouldnt want that happening ;)

if your doing it to test the crankcase pressure and to see if you have a piston problem what you need to do it block the pipe comiong from the crankcase to the AFM.

then do it. it shouldnt really drop then.
