Hi Uk fellas,
i ordered the Redstuff brake pads for my MR2 and experienced some strange behavior. They say those pads arent producing much brake dust.
In fact i have never seen so much brake dust in my entire life that i can see there in one day.At the beginning it was horrible - the dustet like crazy - because of the bed in time. But after 1500 km they still do a lot of dust.So i contacted EBC but they dont know the reason for sure. They asked me if i use them on road - i sayed yes.-and i also have all axes covered with those pads.
They say it could be the discs.Because in the analysis the did in the past the brakedust was metallic - and there is no metall in the pads..humm i can check that easily with a magnet later..
what do you guys say?any experience like this?Which discs do i need?I still drive the toyota or aftermarket simple Discs..
If i dont find a solution i have to sell this cr.. cool stuff..
edit: i used a strong magnet now to try if its metallic dust - no chance it must be the keramic pads..

Carbotech is the only pad that you should be thinking about. Amazing results and last very well too. EBC are just not in the same league.

help help what are you guys talkin about? What is carbotech?
Re: [Mk2] [NA] Redstuff pads = just dust in the wind?!
Carbotech is a manufacturer of pad.
Look on rogues website.
Have a search for Carbotech, you will see nothing but good things about them. If you were being picky you could say they are a bit dusty but other than that there super.

i agree with the dust, i am running with red stuff and on my white wheels its a daily job to keep them clean, did notice in the first few hundred miles there was more but prob due to their brake in layer.#
carbons are meant to be very good but can be noisy when cold and lack feel.
chees karam

Carbotech pads are faultless and the best affordable aftermarket brake pad for the mk2 MR2.
We, the MR2 Championship Race Series nearly all use Carbotech pads.
