-I'm seeing white powder around the battery but only when 2 surfaces meet.
I have cleaned it off in the past using bicarb and painted it with afterwards with Hammerite.http://i62.photobucket.com/albums/h102/ ... /MR2_2.jpg
However it's come back
- from the suface under the Hammerite!The car has ben checked that the alternator is not overcharging.
Going under the car yesterday looking for a small water leak, when I removed a plastic guard and looked towards the front of the car I saw white powder everwhere as shown in this photo

It looks like the car is falling apart around me.
Anyone got any ideas of what the cause could be?
The car has always started OK.
