24crt liquid gold would be realy good, but i couldent justify £89878 on coolant,

I just get the garage to do it, its pink if that helps lol

For Life is now called Long Life.

It's not that expensive either - only 50p - £1.00 more than the Halfords pre-mix pink stuff.

As I get trade prices from both MrT & Halfords, I use whatever is readily availabel when needed. (Our MrT's service/spares is not open on a weekend)

Use whichever coolant but just make sure it's Ethylene Glycol based and NOT alcohol based :thumleft:

As far as i knew any old Ethylene Glycol based coolant is just fine, the garage i use suggested that its not worth paying a huge premium for 'special' coolant. I had mine changed about a month ago with halfords stuff and guess what?

....nothing!! Seems to do exactly what it said it would. :clown:

Is that the one (Farmer & Carlilse) just past the rugby stadium? If so, It's definately not open on a weekend. They will leave parts at the service desk to collect if pre-arranged and paid for, but the spares/service is definately closed.
Loughborough is open Saturday mornings.

Yeah its the one next to the rugby ground. They've got a new building and you go in a small side door. Ive gone in there on a saturday before to pay and collect stuff before.

I know the side door all too well - I don't have a trade account with them for nothing. Also on first name basis with the guys in there too

We used to be able to get a Saturday service, but not for a long while now (close on 6 months or so???)
