FPS and games like C&C i prefer to play on the PC.
Just cant do the whole move with one analogue stick and aim with the other.
Ok i'll finally admit it.

*Nods* joypads are a bit sucky for FPS, although Unreal on PS3 lets you plug a keyboard & mouse in
Re: Ok i'll finally admit it.
Perhaps it's because I've never used a PC but I really cant understand how moving 2 sticks is any harder than using the mouse and various keyboard buttons?
Re: Ok i'll finally admit it.
Its the accuracy and speed of aiming and looking with a mouse, then you just need your front and back, straft left and right keys. I use to hate medal of honour on the PS2 as every time you got shot you lost your target.

The mouse is much MUCH MUCH MUUUUCH faster than an analogue stick! Far more accurate too.
There was a game where PC & consoles could play online together, the console owners were annihilated constantly, almost to a laughable level. Keyboard and mouse is the de facto method for FPS, end of - joypads and FPS are just a bit of a fudge TBH, can still be fun though from what I've experienced.
Re: Ok i'll finally admit it.
I love it lol. I just wouldnt feel comfortable with a mouse and keyboard.
I'm sure there's a mouse on Play.com for the Ps3?

Its how FPS should be played.

I may be a software developer and play games on my pc but i'm no geek!!
Re: Ok i'll finally admit it.
Speaking of nerds and PCs.
Guy next to me has just bought a hugely spec'd Alienware PC, looking at the spec I would think at least £3k
He already has one he paid about that for but it went wrong, instead of fixing it he bought another one.

Re: Ok i'll finally admit it.
3k is abit to much IMO unless they use it for some series stuff and not just games and internet. 1k will get you an awesome gaming pc. I only spent £400 on mine and it runs any game i throw at it including crysis (on medium settings)
Re: Ok i'll finally admit it.
He reckons this'll probably play it on full.
I've seen Alienware stuff before and it's pretty high end gear. His is liquid cooled and sound proofed lol. Sounds like a car engine bay.
I wonder if it's power is measured in BHP lol?

A decent liquid cool setup will cost you £500+, i spent ages and quite abit of money to get mine near silent as it doubles as a HTPC.

Tbh, I'm not sure if I will or not. It all depends if any of my mates and or my girlfriend want to come.
I'm a little shy lol, spending a weekend with near strangers isnt my cuppa tea.
You should come. Surely we are not strangers to you?
Bring your mates or your girlfriend, don't worry we'll make you feel welcome... as anyone will tell you i'm a social animal.

Re: Ok i'll finally admit it.
My pc is self built, parts bought from overclockers uk.
Cost me a tad over 900 quid about a year ago, Runs every game i've thrown at it on max settings, It's never struggled ever.
3K on a pc is very much over kill but if thats his vice...... good on him.

I've never liked the idea of that, water and electrics always seemed a bit iffy to me
Re: Ok i'll finally admit it.
Tbh, I think it's more about being able to say he has the best PC than anything. He'll tell you till his blue in the face that it gets used to the full potential but no one believes him.
Lauren, I've not met many people here so yeah, mostly all strangers in a way.

Only one way to sort that out Matt, come down to the party and they'll be strangers no more.
Seriously its a great laugh at JAE.. I've made some pretty good friends over those weekends. You won't be left out, don't worry about that.
