Pete, French GP probably at Magny Cours for 09, not sure of dates but I think its too far away.

They were saying on all the coverage at the weekend that the FIA want to move away from Magny Cours and Bernie Ecclestone in particular hates the place and doesn't want to go back... There might not even be a French GP next year if the press are to be believed.

Yea, heard that too, if there is a French GP in 09 then it will be at Magny Cours as there is absolutely knowhere else to have it, my initial feeling is that it will be there for the last year before moving on to a new track at Euro Disney near Paris, something for LM10 me thinks!

Thanks for that info, has anyone got any good sensible suggestions for the bolt on trip.

Yeah I love the photoshop pic! Shame about the hideous pic of my face you chose though.

I will have to get a t-shirt made up for sure.

I haven't had any time to even think about the bolt on trip yet to be honest as i'm back to the stress of work and catching up.

Everyone keep any ideas coming in or places you fancy seeing and I'll start looking into each one soon.

According Autosport this was the last GP at Magny-Cours. Bernie E, " We agreed that there would be a French Grand Prix at Magny-Cours in 2008 but not in 2009."

The alternatives are:

Paris street circuit (Bernie's choice)
Melun-Villaroche (New circuit near Orly airport (not until 2010))
Le Mans Bugatti Circuit (ACO isn't keen though)
Paul Ricard (needs to be overhauled to be spectator friendly)
Euro Disney (short of funding)
Magny-Cours 2 (complete overhaul to the existing venue)

The XJ220 was unbelievalbe, I've never ever seen one on the road. Other cars we saw on Mad Friday on the public road were:

De-Tomasso
Ferrari Dino
Numerous Ferrari 360's
Ferrari F-40 and F-50
Every kind of Porsche you can think off

Was a brilliant day, especially when the DENNIS UK fire engine turned up and sprayed the road with water and soap for the burn outs!!

Pete I was right alongside the ''PIG'' Supra snapping away when it was doing its wheel spinning, you can just see me with the camera right at the front on some of the video's, got some great pics of it, especially when the copper on the bike went by, he almost chocked in the blue tyre smoke!!
