[Mk2] [Turbo] Japspeed Exhaust Manifold - Any Good???

Post by DNOS808 »

Hi

I have recently bought a tubular exhaust manfold for my MkII turbo to replace the cast Item. It has a tag which says Japspeed on it. It does not look very strong and I am wondering if any one has had any experience with one of these units, if so could they answer the following questions

-is the fit of the unit any good
-do they last ok
-are they prone to leaks and or cracking
-are they an improvement over the standard cast item

I would appreciate any feedback on this unit since I am reluctant to fit it without knowing a bit more about it.

the rule is stock manifold is good for 400-500bhp, so if your not planning anymore than that id leave alone, aftermarket items have been known to crack.
i cant comment on japspeed though, and the comment above is just what ive learnt on here as its not something ive thought about replacing.
if im wrong please correct me someone :thumleft:
