In a meeting my ar$e!!!!!!

I've used that one a few times myself, hey Jinx this is going to push it a little, do you think you'll get it mopped in time. Make sure you tell them it's already entered into the Concourse de Elegance at the Chateau.

Love the guilt trip thing!

The good old lemans trip, comes round quick dosent it.

If i still had my mr2 i would of gone again this year, even with the terrible weather we had last year it was still a good experience.

For anyone that's worried about having a low car, yes you will have trouble boarding the ferry, if your lucky they well help you with some boards, but if your unlucky like i was on the way back, you'll have some muppet waving at you telling you its ok, then you'll hear a big crack and your bumper will be hanging off..... but its all part of the fun :thumleft:

But its all worth it.

Alex, good to hear from you mate, those pictures brought back a few memories. Did you ever get the turbo fixed after the oil problems last year.

I must be getting real soft in my old age but I just couldn't bring myself to take the baby TBAR all the way to Le Mans so I've bought this:

Its a local car, well about 40 miles up the road, we pick it up on Saturday so will have to work quick checking it all over to make sure it's up for the long trip. I'm thinking about putting my 17" Heat alloys on it thats currently on the red one and the front and side clear lenses.

That looks like a nice machine there Michael.

Same colour as mine though :-k Though i might be the only helious blue again.

Just to remind you. When you came to Scotland the first thing you wanted to do with the wheels was put back the smaller ones on. Arms like Popeye i think you said. Mind you there was a lot more corners.

I cleaned the mk1 up a bit and tried to pack all the camping stuff in the frunk today #-o . Its a bit of a tight fit with that big tent, sleeping bags, cooking stuff, stove, gas, Water proofs (Just in case)camp light. Manage just to get it all in though.

That leaves the boot for the clothes and the easy chairs (With beer holders). Under the seats for maps and paperwork and glove box for the camera, sunglasses and sat nav. Oh and Susans purse for the money.

Though i was going to have to remove my speaker boxes behind the seats.

Michael if you need a hand with anything on the car i can help on Sunday. No problem.

I have been chasing the stickers for the cars and should have by Thursday or Friday  . The guys alway at the last minute.

Cant wait to catch up with you all. Thats photos just get you in the holiday mood.

Shane,

Agenda for Sunday,

You arrive, say hello, we have a beer

Have a look at the new MK1, over another beer

Put stickers on the cars, then have a beer break

Complete sticker application then admire work over a beer

Watch Canadian GP over several beers

Order the curry whilst supping a beer

Eat curry supping several x 3 beers

Watch MR2 MK1 racing that I recorded on Motors TV on Saturday from Silverstone whilst having a beer

Wake up Gordon and remove him from the floor and drink the remains of his beer, whilst having a beer in the other hand

Have small panic attack that we have forgot to pack something into the MK1, then relax in the knowledge that its all there, have a beer to celebrate quality pcking check-lists

After a busy day like this take time out to reflect on the trip ahead to Le Mans with a nice, did I mention beer!!!

Pete, the guy in Cranfield who bought your Mk1 (somehow I've forgotten his name... ) drove past me on Friday as I was cycling home. The car is still :thumleft: but tell him it smells like it's running a bit rich... ;)

Great news guys, i can hardly contain myself, its going into the bodyshop on Wednesday morning it all booked in & meeting the builders manager there at 10am so he can pay the bodyshop the cash, the bodyshop may need to keep it until Thursday which doesnt bother me as long as they do a stunning job :thumleft: & i get a courtesy car to smoke around in too , talk about 11th hour   .
Shame i wasnt at yours michael, joining you lot for pre LeMans lubrication, but i'll make up for it in September \:D/ really cant believe its nearly here, & to make matters better Today is the only day i have to go to work this week, so it'll be nearly 3 weeks until i see a train again \:D/ \:D/ \:D/ :thumleft:   , speak/see you all very soon, Jinxy
