[Mk2] [Turbo] Oil Pump Options

Post by Laney »

As the title says really. Are there any options other than the standard oil pump? If so, what are they? Where can I get them? How much? Is it worth it? etc etc.

Cheers

There are some flow restrictions to the rev 1/2's oil pump, but this isn't apparent till 8K rpm + So unless you are revving the nuts out of the engine ... then the standard oil pump is suffice. :D

Go for a light weight oil if the engine spends the best part of its life at 7-8K !

Its the difference of sucking a pint of water through a straw opposed to a pint of Guiness through the same straw ! :-s

Not an issue on the rev3+ as the oil feeds / channels were all revised with a larger bore / flow.
