Which one you recomend? I been told red. But heard they are not good from cold.
Also best place to buy, would love to go for carbotech but bit out my price range I think.

Had greenstuff on the wifes FTO and they were pants (bought with them on).
Replaced with Mintex 1144, which are probably halfway between Greenstuff & Carbotech pricewise. Only trouble is the rears are made to order on the SW20.

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Redstuff or greenstuff pads? All use
Just fitted Carbotech Panther Plus pads - it's took ALL weekend, due to painting the calipers black, still waiting for the last one to dry.
I'll let you know how they are tonight or tomorrow

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Redstuff or greenstuff pads? All use
I went round to Peter Gidden's house/garage (sbits) directly
Can't remember price exactly as I bought discs etc. Think they were around £190.
Mintex 1144's were around £140 for the wifes FTO.

Yellow stuff pads for me are very good. I'd say pretty much as good as Carbotechs but half the price - I paid circa £105 for a full set.
You don't have to sell your ass for good brakes

I agree, put EBC yellowstuff on the tubby a couple of weeks back and they're awesome! excellent feel and stop on a sixpence
Also work extremely well from cold ilogik, the garage I use recommend them as they use them on their MR2 and MX5 track cars

Without doubt the best bite from cold will be from standard OEM pads. And in my opinion if all else is good with the braking system, these are all you need for road use.
For track use you'll defo want Yellow stuff or Carbotechs as they don't fade unlike OEM pads.

I fitted carbotech all round with new stock discs the other day. (pads from Rogue approx £100 front and £100 rear)
Fluid changed about 3 months ago and did a trackday at Bedford on Sat. Not an ounce of fade all day and I was really pasting them!!!
Excellent pads - only issue is the horrendous level of dust. Cant get most of it off!!!!! (not that I'm particularly fussed about dirty wheels!)

I have red stuff pads alround and find them good in all conditions, simlar to standard when cold and much better once warmed up and no faid how ever much you use them.

Doesn't look like Yellowstuff are up to much when given serious abuse on track.
If you're just driving on the road, stick to stock pads - they're plenty good enough.

Carbotech are awesome pads, but tend to be squeeky! We had quite afew complaints from customers who purchased carbotech from us when they are used on the road.
