More a general musing, mate :D But yeah I was thinking of how the 4wd would be possible...

Don't know to me honest mate, was doing the same thing: waiting for someone to explain lol

Think it'd be possible though. Take the 4wd runnign gear from a GT4 and put it on an MR2 Mk2

Anything is possible ;)

Porsche 911s have AWD and rear mounted engines. Get a suitable FWD transfer case and make it so - but where will you put the fuel tank? In the boot, perhaps?

Question is, though, why would you want to make it 4x4?

Some people surely get into the MR2 for the looks, but I thought most people went for them because of the way they drive...

Just for something different, something original would be why I'd do it

I think the hardest part would be getting a front drivetrain setup - the tunnel is there, move the fuel tank to the boot... I'm trying to figure out how the transfer case would work - maybe chain drive from a GT4 gearbox, if MR2 gearboxes are basically the same units... propshafts and driveshafts are easy. Some sort of front diff, and some carriers for the front hubs.

There are very few light mid engined AWD cars; seems to be a preserve of rally and supercars (yes, a 6R4 is light to a degree, but it's also powered by a hairy V6 and has no interior trim to speak of). Are 205 T16s transverse? Might be worth looking at the layout on those...

Had mine nearly 8 years, and.....

Should have had a six speed box for motorways.
Lower roof line, like the photoshopped one! (i'm 6'2") Thinner seat would have done it.
Windscreen wipers that don't lift.

And a Cut/dip in the centre console so you can touch the female passenger!

I think the dip in the console might have affected fuel range a little bit ;)

There is no question that indicators should be on the right: it's all about being able to indicate and change gear at the same time.

Besides, my MKI Escort had them on the right too, and there was NOTHING wrong with that car. End of debate.

t bar design that doesn't leak. Turbo v6 as an option and supra hubs used instead of unique units that feck up any brake upgrades ](*,)
