I think I'm getting one of these carbon lids for my NA....pending some thinking on the amount of water that my engine will be bathing in....
As you can see by the pic, there's a whole fields worth of holes in this beastie! Anyone have any suggestions for a solution to keep some of the water out? Looking at it, it looks like the plugs and dizzy would get drenched...my air filter keeps nestled under the side panels so won't be a problem...
Anyways, open to discussion/suggestions

hi you would take the rain tray off your old lid and fix it to the new one.

ahhh was that the fella with the big black TRD replica? Nick was going to do it this way, but both the CF and FG versions are, well, fibre glass, so not sure how to affix them!

nick from teamshock has bought the fiberglass one and is having it fitted soon after it's been sprayed.

aaa no probs dude nick got his cheap as it will be on the car for the next feature. He's just done fast car front cover but didn't have time to get it on before the shoot

DEFFINATLY need rain protection. i had ALOT of trouble when i removed my shield due to rattling. soaked my loom and everything. long time and alot of £££ to sort.

Why not just block off the "important" holes?
The amount of ventilation necessary for an N/A engine is going to be fairly small anyway..?
You could probably cover at least 60% of those vents internally with some thin ally sheet sprayed black, and still get decent ventilation...?
