A lot of surface bling but not a lot of info on the soundness of what's underneath...sorry, not to my taste.

Must have just had all the money spent on the bodywork which is not realy the right thing to do. Best to spend on the engine first then go onto the bodywork.

I think this has been a bodyshop project car maybe :-k ie one that is used for promotion

I saw it on ebay last time they tried to sell it

I like the colour a lot. bodykit is very individual. i like some bits but not other bits. Interior:Not to my colour taste, but i like the idea that some one has finall tackled the interior dash etc in a show-car style. not many have done this really, but most other cars in 'fast car mag' or whatever do the dash as std now for show cars.

A lot of work, but maybe chose the wrong car to do it to. havign a modded mk1 is really a bind rather than a bonus - i know
perhaps not worth the expense :-k

It's very much a 'show car' if you are into that scene

best to spend the money on restoring the rusted and worn parts first. then suspension. THEN engine, then styling if youre into that kind of thing.

engine power costs lots of money for minimal gains, whereas suspension costs less for more gain

as for the car in question though, its horrendous. pretty much everything you shouldnt do to a mk1 put into 1 car. theyd have been better with a mk2, seeing as how theyve tried to make it look like a mk2 anyway

Well I supose people will have their different ways. Personally I would buy one with no rust / problems in the first place so I dont have to worry about that.

It's ok and a lot of work has been put into it but why try to make a mk1 look like a mk2, other than it will probably handle better as a mk1! I am a lover of the styling of a mk1 but even i have had to go for more power and i don't want to change the look of the car, it's great as is!

It may belong to a fellow club member who has put a lot of effort/money into getting it modified, please bare this in mind.

who it belongs to is irrelavent

there is deffinately a lot of work gone into that, I for one would only be offended if the guy who did it took to sneaking around under cover of darkness and inflicting his style on others  bit like a graffitti artist

I would't mind a look over it though just to see how well it has or not been done
pretty sure there's more than £4K invested! though I doubt there'll be a stampede to buy it

each to their own I recon

This comment in the q&a made me think the owner may be a member/lurker of IMOC... just a bit harsh if he's reading this. I actually quite like it, I'd certainly have it over a kackmelon kit :D

" i own 5 other MR2 MK1's... they maybe going on sale next year some time. they are all mint. but this one i think is worth more. so just want to sell this one 1st to see how much i get"

scratching my head now how do you justify your comment about bearing in mind that this may be a fellow member, and comment made maybe a bit harsh then call other members body kitted cars "Kackmelon"???

odd form of moderation if you ask me

or perhaps its OK for MK1 Club moderators to offend :?

like I said each to his own

I didn't do any moderation, I stated to bare in mind the owner may be a forum member.
Agree with what you said about said kit, although i have been quite vocal about my personal dislike to it in the past..
