I was sliding around quite a lot. I had very little tyre wear; they were barely getting hot, on the stone cold track. Or, it could have been my mismatching rear tyres after I got a puncture on the way there (I also got a nail in my tyre on my way to rockingham..! )
Brilliant track, I love the sweepy left at the bottom of the craner curves, which you seem to have to keep the power hard down through, which means you go flying into the old hairpin... (: and the multiple-apex right before the long straight.
Had a great day. Went home and slept! Then got up around midnight had a shower and went out for a dance in Bristol (:

Ah, i was behind you through Mcleans and Coppice and was impressed with how 'adjustable' the rear end was. I had a fairly good view from the BatCat as you're fairly low to the ground! I could see you drifting it, the car coming back into line and then you provoking it back out again
And then you very courteously let me past
EDIT: unlike the variety of escorts that drove like xxxx which culiminated with one ending up on it's roof after them racing each other down towards craners. What was even more annoying was that whilst the escort was being recovered, everything was red flagged so we were losing track time, they all seemed to think that it was hilariously funny.

DAFL. Classic BaT moment with those as well, people were coming in to complain about them, and when J5 got on the radio to get them to black flag then, the Marshall said that it didn't really matter, because one of them was on it's roof at the bottom of the craners
What a bunch of morons. Ditto goes for the Evo driver, and whoever it was who rented the eRise for the day and then spent most of the time watching it get recovered out of the gravel

Re: Donny, 15th Dec, BaT
at warmup lap
The irony about Jonny's eRise ending up in the gravel was that we'd just been chatting about car values after they'd been used as track slags. Jonny had commented that his car was worth peanuts compared to the investment he'd made in it, but now he'd got it just how he wanted it and that he didn't rent it out often and then only to people he trusted and knew were regulars.
10 minutes later, it was in the gravel.
So when we did the parade lap i ended up lending my car to Jonny so that he could lead it round
That Audi R8 was a pain as well. I sat behind him for 6 laps, but his ego obviously decided that his 90k supercar wasn't going to be overtaken by a caterham. He kept pulling away on the straights, but i'd then be right up his ar$e in the corners.

Re: Donny, 15th Dec, BaT
R8 and the Evo were together, also might have been with a black Saxo which ended up in the gravel somewhere..
Oddly enough, in the afternoon when I'd stopped being a clucking mother hen with the car and was just ragging it instead, I didn't see the R8 or Evo

Yeah the Escort blokes learned a lesson - don't 'kin race each-other on track days. Simple rule that keeps everyone safe. You don't follow the rules, you will have an incident 0- simple. Same happened at Angers with the eejit beemer drivers
Just don't 'kin do it!
They were all a *bit* upset when Jonny told them their day was over and sent them home. But after they packed up they came and appologised - so weren't too arogant afterall.
The R8 was owned by a Sheffield United footballer. There were two drivers sharing the car.
I am also still trying to figure out HTF you put a FWD Megane into the pitwall after the chicane
Just glad there were no injuries.
That aside, all in all the driving standard was pretty good. The slower S2000's were pretty good at checking mirrors and moving over

At least they came back to apologise. They didn't look the types.
I would have quite liked to be a fly on the wall when Jonny told them their day was over
Glad the slower S2k's behaved well. They're a pretty decent bunch and quite a range of mixed abilities, but they all know and appreciate the rules
