TBAR FOR SURE! <Admin : Ad removed - please PM Pete> I find a UK Spec tbar with leather interior to be a much more pleasent car to drive both in summer and winter than a standard GT.I always choose to buy a TBAR over a standard car when buying for stock as from experience i find the TBARS are much more popular when selling.Jump from a TBAR into a standard GT and they feel really bland. In the winter they are really light inside due to the big glass roof and in the summer they are great both on and off the motorway, i do not agree with the excess buffeting as i do not agree that they buffet any more than a full on convertable.I regularly do long motorway runs with the roof off on a sunny day and it feels fantastic and not uncomfortable at all ,maybe a little buffeting with the windows down at high speed above 70 (no more than any convertable) but above 70 with the windows up it is perfect.

I gotta agree with that.

When you have the windows down and the t-bars off it's pretty blowy bu put the windows up and you might as well have the roof on except for the gorgeous view you get and the nice summer sun.

Would get a t-bar IMO, more likely to get a better price for it when selling too.

I would rather sit in my car knowing that the rain cant get me, the roof isnt going to creek and rattle or randomly smash above me like some have. Air con does a much better job and wont make your hair a mess due to the massive buffeting.

No more any any convertable?  [-(

Loved my Roadster but as a daily drive it was too impractical.
So for a daily drive (as mine is) then I want to keep my a*se dry....... so tin top for me.
If it's a 2nd vehicle for spring/summer, then it would have been a T-Bar, not quite a convertible but the next best thing.

Mine does not leak. Mine does not creak. Mine does not rattle. Why? Because I spent 10 minutes repairing it. I don't understand why people are afraid of them because they require ten minutes maintenance every 2-3 years :? Boggles the mind. It's a car. It requires maintenance.

I think you'll find that was one freak occurrence. Do tin-top owners also worry about spontaneous human combustion? I would be surprised if there weren't more recorded occurences of that.

The t-bar also has a/c. So you have both options. If your hair must be perfect and you must drive at motorway speed, then leave the roof on... What's the big deal? It's all about options. Put the sun shades in and it feels like a tin-top on the inside.

I dont have a T-bar but i must admit that when i'm in other peoples in the summer with the roof off i love them, it's even fun in the winter to go for a blast with the roof off.... for a laugh

I've also been in one Ahem... Hicks, when its been p1$$ing it down and got soaked and i do mean soaked. (with the roof on!!!!)

Personally if i was going to buy another mr2 it would be a T-bar, as said above spend a bit of time and money making sure it seals and you cant really beat them. For the people who are moaning about the buffeting at speed

Okay if you've a dark colour. Stands out too much on mine.

I prefer the extra rigidity and never having to deal with leaks.
