Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] 10.8 sec project
Did not really put it under any real load as I did not past 4K rpm but it felt good so far. It's a .82 turbine size

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] 10.8 sec project
do you make much boost before 4krpm's Guss?
The only reason i keep asking is that i'm looking to swap my GT3071R for something larger but i'm in 3 different minds : GT3082/GT3540/GT3582/GT3076 etc etc.Ideally i want to run 10.90's on race gas with the smallest out of the selection, what are your thoughts?

Owen, i dont make boost before 4k on the same turbo and im on a 2.2 motor.
For a 2L displacement a .63 would be more of a better idea - it would prob make a bar of boost by 4k.
Nice project there Guss - i love the ex manifold..... huge runners!

I think that the Gt3082 and the GT35's are your best bet on running 10's. However someone on the ran 10.6 in the US on a GT3076R

To be honest I did not even install the boost gauges yet as I am awaiting some premium prosport gauges. But the car felt really good even if I was not stamping on it. I can give you a better answer in a week as I am off to BMW training in Barbados(I am the Service Coordinator for BMW in Antigua & Barbuda W.I)

No mention of cams Clifton what you using?
Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] 10.8 sec project
Stock at the moment, but I am trying to get some HKS high lift 272/264. However I friend made 506@29psi recently with a similar set-up (stock cams) he has also the 2nd fastest time here with a 10.7@129 when he had less power, Plus my fuel system at the moment can prob only support 530whp being maxed out. If I need more fuel next year I will add another walbro intank and go to 1000CC injSharpey wrote:No mention of cams Clifton what you using?
