I was referring to a different car. It will be obvious when I post up the race video. 8-[

As for the front number, when you get to Rob's age, you tend to start forgetting things!

so a couple of cars then  as for the lack of race number on the front probably the result of a replacement bonnet after Snetterton :eye:

You'd be surprised what drivers disclose to outsiders into trackdays like us... These little "hints and tips" often breech the challenge regs. But no-one ever confirms that they or their team are actually using these "hints & tips" for their own gains. It's easy to see as a spectator

Like the info that at least one of the cars has had the bolt holes on the suspension struts drilled out to give greater camber adjustment, and washers welded on and machined flat to hide the fact that the holes are not in their original location

Allegedly

well talk is always cheep, and only the driver/owners know what the cars state is if are willing to cheat to gain then i think that's sad as what is the point of this?

you cannot change this though it is the way of it in anything not just cars and racing, i am lucky to have a well built car courtesy of Stu and my sponsors and i will gladly stand by my race cars and hold my head up high to anyone who wants to check them, and that is my mentality on it, if i race well i know i have not broken any rules/regs to do it .
i would not only discredit myself but also my sponsors i do hope the rest of the grid share the same ethos now and in the future!

Unfortunately there will always be some who attempt to cover up a lack of skill by 'improving' their car in an illegal manner - just the nature of the beast

I fully agree Sarah - if the only way someone can win is by cheating, why the h*** are they competing in the first place ?

I see what you mean about a certain car's tendency to emit flames [-X

it is only flaming on the downshift on high load, if you look at the vid which is nice by the way :thumleft: the car only flames on the hair pin down shift under high revs as it only does it a couple of times when he goes in i suspect in third gear down to 2nd(as i do) i dont change to fourth at all through the esses (to much power loss) vid on later.
he only does this a couple of times as he then clearly uses the fourth gear option and does not high rev the engine, as you note when he enters Gerrards he is not under high load and it does not flame.

mine did this last year at Snetterton on the end of the back straight again i very high load & braking sequence of corners.

if he set the mix right he would have more grunt in his engine :silent:

Could be innocent, after all it sounded like it was running on three cylinders during most of qualifying. Might just be sick... 8-[

I heard the original headline was "Jessop Fends Off Brutal and Unrelenting Assault From Mortell" but they had to shorten due to space...

Yes, Neil was excluded following a protest from another driver:

Not being in any infomation loop Idont know about the result being finalised.

The press take there results from the day, so if he was missing on the day, then thats how it came about.

For anyone who doesnt know, Neil was running standard mk1a alloys, which were production spec.

no set result is known on our results as what you read was decided by an official on the day and we are not an official championship!

Neil `s car is pending an investigation and this is in hand so no exclusion is final until the investigation has been concluded.

sorry cannot say more its not in my place.
