[Mk2] [NA] Gear box filler oil plug?

Hi,
Does anyone know where abouts the Gearbox oil filler plug is?? Look forward to hearing back. Craig

I used the 24mm bolt in the top of the box its behind the breather, it has a kinda pin affair shape to it when its removed. I filled using a length of garden hose and a funnel.

Just a pint make sure you can remove the begger before you dump the oil, dont want to be stuck with no oil in the box...

Contrary to popular belief, theres afill hole on top of the gearbox thats a damn sight easier to access.....

Is this the same on the turbo model gearbox with LSD fitted ?

nothing stopping you undoing the fill plug in the picture as well. It's easy enough to get to, just not so easy to pour thick gear oil into. Just fill til it comes out of that hole.

Thats what i mean, if you have to undo the middle one anyway, may aswell just fill it up from there!

what with? teaspoon? The easiest way is using some tubing running down through the engine bay. Don't know about this other filler hole but it might be easier to get to..

yeh, the middle fill plug.. use tubing to fill it.. but what i mean is, if you use the hole on top to fill (wherever that may be).. you still have to open the middle one to check the level.. so you may aswell just use that one!
