[Mk2] [Generic] 17" Alloys - to spray or not to spray?

Post by ferrit »

Hi all,

Considering having my wheels refurbed, and coloured black while i'm at it - just wondering what peoples opinions are really, as I don't fancy getting them back and looking pants!

The car is Astral Black, and the alloys are identical to this :

Thoughts?

Black Wheels

Post by Stretchermunkey »

Not the same wheels, but the pics should give you an idea, on how the car will look. I would never have gone for black wheels on a black car, but bought the car anyway, now I love the wheels.

Ah sorry just doesn't do it for me, either hyper silver, silver or white on a black motor.

I'd agree that lighter colours look better on wheels like yours - paint them black and the slim spokes will no longer disguise what puny-looking brakes the standard MR2 items are.

Took the plunge and decided to paint them over the B/H Weekend.... took a long time, mainly in prep work but pretty happy with how they've turned out!

The back wheels need to come out, and it needs lowering but i'm happy with the result of the wheels! Oh and yes, I know it needs a damn good clean :thumleft:
