[Mk2] [Turbo] Water Pump!!??

Hi all,
After spending alot of time refitting my engine, i filled it up with coolant.. And it started dripping out of the water pump. It seemed to come out of a kind of vent hole in the side of the housing. The pump was new 1000 miles ago. Does this sound like i have to fit a new pump? many thanks. chris

thats a tell tale hole mate

means the gasket is good, however the seal to the pump bearings has gone.

so yeh new pump fella
