It would be great if a representative from MR2 Only magazine could attend the full trip with us to document this event.

Some information on costs

Cost wise here is a rough breakdown.

Entry ticket to the circuit which is valid from Tuesday - Sunday and gets you into the practise on Wednesday night for 2 sessions, Thursday night for 2 sessions, Friday pit walk and the 24 hour race weekend itself. You can buy on the door for about £50. When you comapre the price for this years F1 GP was £200 a ticket for 2 hours of racing against £50 for 4 x practise sessions, pit walk and 24 hours of superb racing, well it speaks for itself doesn't it.

Petrol is a little bit cheaper in France but you need to put about £12 aside for toll charges from Bolougne - Le Mans. It takes about 3 and a half hours to travel from the port of Bolougne - Le Mans.

The food and drink is dirt cheap and I mean cheap so no worries there.
Hotel in Maidstone on Monday 10th June 2007 £69 per room.
Ferry £50 - £60 depending how early you book.
Entry ticket £50ish.
Grandstand tickets is an optional extra and can be booked through www.justtickets.co.uk last year I paid £138 for a great grandstand seat on the start/finish line and included entry to circuit.
Maidstone - Le Mans is roughly 350 miles
Breakdown Cover £70
Holiday insurance £20
Camping at Chateau Chanteloup about £7 per person per night.

Excellent news!! Your'e in for one hell off a trip, bring as many MR2 folk as you like, the more the merrier and plenty off memory for your camera, over 1000 pictures taken by us this year, and come for the whole trip duration, Monday 9th - Tuesday 17th. Have a look at some off those past event links, they are a little basic but gives you a flavour.

If you plan to meet us in Maidstone ten you need to start thinking about booking the hotel. Theres nothing to pay until you check out so you migt as well book it so your room is cofirmed as I'm expecting our party to fully book out the hotel. Here are the details.

Nice on Pete, thought you might. Is Ginge coming next year then?? If so he needs to book the room as they are filling up fast.

I think the hotel only has about 20 rooms and 5 are taken already so book it now. Theres nothing to pay until next year so you might as well.

The club has agreed to purchase 2 large parking plots in the excellent white parking so we can set up camp for the race weekend.

Too early too book ferry or camping. Ferry is normally around September and camping is January.

Tickets to gain entry to circuit can be purchased at the track and is about £50 for a 5 day pass including pit walk on the Friday.
