Car Limits Airfield Driver Training Day

Post by DavidM »

I'm keen to go on a driver training day at North Weald Airfield, Essex.
Not exactly cheap but looks informative and good fun.

Anyone else interested?
midweek costs £380 for 2 person day or £190 for 4 person day
sunday costs £500 for 2 person day or £250 for 4 person day
Thought I'd ask as it would be much more fun with other MR2's. I've no specific date in mind and I'm fairly flexible.

That becomes what they term as an activity day at about £37 per car.

The Driver Training Days are more tailored to your individual rquirements with more time donated to each driver.

However an activity day is a good idea for those who just want fun with little tuition.

Andy Walsh is supposed to be an excellent coach and if I could find the cash I'd be interested in the 4 person day (midweek). Later in the year would be better (hoping for a wet day to save the tyres!)

<edit>Would this be more appropriate in Motorsport and TrackDays rather than the events forum? Might get more attention there? Maybe the original poster could comment so the mods can move it if needed.

I was thinking late September/early October time, would prefer 4 persons and midweek slot.

Wasn't sure which section to post in originally, but I think you're right it would be better in the Motorsport & Trackdays section. Mods please move if you think fit, thanks.

Sounds like the same thoughts as me then. There's plenty of slots around then free at the moment. I'm definitely interested.

Thanks Speedy!

Each. It's not cheap, but high quality tuition never is (and you're paying for the venue too).

The day we did there last year was a great success, and I was hoping another could be organised. It cost £45 from what I can remember.

Andy was superb. Proving once and for all that an MR2 (MkI and MkII) CAN drift!

ah well that might be more like it, and although jont said it's each, 190 by 4 is 47.5 so maybe it is split?

No Driver Training Days are £190 each based on 4 sharing.
The Activity Day is about £37 each based on 20 cars (I think) for a fun day but little tuition.
