Cheers mate, i used alot of elbow grease and a can of High Temperature silver spray, i think 500degree's it can withstand. Well happy with it :thumleft:

would something like a hamerite spray do the job?
im closer and closer to doing this....polished look just seems like WAY to much hard work.

Yeah i took the shortcut, still well happy with the results. the Polished look it just too much work for my liking :D

Me also Where did u get the Paint from? Can you just get it from a local halfords or somewhere?

Yeah got it from the lovely place HALFORDS :-s

£4.99 for a can of Very High Temperature spray :mrgreen: Still got loads left

Iv just been and back and thats the can i noticed.However just had a look at my engine bay and looks a bit more complicated than i thought to get the rocker covers etc off, #-o

yep on the turbos, bit more needs to come off......

now that looks the business just a bit to scary for me im ok with most mechanical stuff, But id end up forgetting where the last 5 screws go #-o

might buy a 2nd hand cam cover and heat shielf prepare and paint myself then get the local garage to fit them (family friends work their) nice and cheap hopefully,

Time to go look on ebay me think.


One other thing whats the crack the sand blasting these would it be to abraisive?
