my heat shield on the pipe between the cat pipe and the flexi has got a hole in it and started to rattle
is there any reson why i cannot just remove it

Just had a word with Mark and he reckons its bolted onto the Cat itself. Surely if you have removed the cat there would be no heat shield?

either way you don't need it.

but its on the pipe before the cat (the angled one)
cos like you sat that one has been removed so i did not see any reason why i could not
defo an improvment on sound with the cat gone aslo picks up better
