[Mk2] [Turbo] Clutch problems...

I seem to be having problems just lately putting the car into any gear, which is taking away the pleasure of driving it!

My clutch pedal seems really high, but doesn't seem to dis-engage and give a smooth(ish) change until my foot is more or less buried to the floor.
Is this just signs of a worn out clutch, or as somebody has mentioned, does the clutch fluid need topping up?
The clutch isn't slipping btw.
