[Mk2] [NA] Strange squeal drive side rear

Post by SwitchBlade »

I've done a search and no-one seems to have described what I'm getting so here goes. I've got a MK2 Rev1 NA, and for some reason when driving at around 40MPH on a few certain roads I seem to get an intermittent squeal from the driverside of the car somewhere behind me. It does the same in different gears so ruling out the gearbox, it doesn't seem rev related so ruling out the alt belt. It only seems to occur on certain roads I've tried driving at the same conditions on some other roads and no squeal so I'm guessing road camber is a factor.

So far between myself and a mate we are clutching at the straw of the driverside rear brake not fully releasing and it rubbing when driving, though not sure why this would happen only at certain speeds and on certain roads, wouldn't have thought camber would effect the alignment between disc and pad? Anyone here got any other options for what I should be checking?
