Hi lee
Copper - The traditional material for making spark plugs and cheap to boot!
Platinum - Gives a greatly increased service life over copper allegedly lasting 60,000 mile plus in a standard car. More expensive than coopper. Original fitment in MR2.
Iridium - This is a platinum alloy which is harder than platinum allowing the tip to be even smaller and allegedly gives a 'better' spark. More expensive than copper, but actually cheaper than platinum to produce but usually sold at a dearer price because they are trendy. NGK reccomend you do not gap these yourself as you can easily damage the tip.
Personally, both my N/A and turbo both have BKR6EP8 Platinum in but if your running extra boost would go for grade cooler iridium.
I sell all the various types at www.flashmetal.com
Regards Jeff
