Thanks. That's one theory ticked off the list.
So does anyone know anything about baffles in the ports? This is what owens said.
Have i missunderstood them talking about exhaust valves?

get it booked in with a specialist like 3s service or rogue.

you could be going round in circles if you try to fix on your own.

Unleash the beast, you have a seriously fast car there, don't let it goto waste.

Don't really have the funds to pay a garage labour rates!! I'll get there, learn a bit about these engines along the way hopefully.

Well if you don't want to go to a specialist I'd say get your hands on a fully working second hand exhaust - borrow one if you can - and fit that and see if it makes a difference.

If not and its the same, at least you can eliminate it.

Have heard of a few problems with valves at the manifold - as you mentioned...

Change your iggy components asap though, if you've had copper plugs in there for 18 months that's not good!! :)

just loosen the exhaust at the bottom of the down pipe and take it for a blast.

will be hella loud but you will know if the exhaust is ya problem if it runs ok :)

Other very simple thing to check is that your leads are all firmly where they should be. If not you won't be running on 4 cylinders obviously.
