WHAT!!
how can it be on ebay if the investigation is still going on. I'd be having a really harsh talk to my insurance company I think.
Hope it goes well for you Mark!

Re: spotted on ebay
Guys, i'm so glad you bought this to my attention and a very VERY large thanks to Earl to actually texting me this morning for letting me know.
The short story is, my insurance company hadn't contacted the recovery company so they decided to sell it on without mine or the insurance companies permision. To say i wasn't happy was an understatement!!!
After many many phone calls to various people the car will now be back in my possesion in a couple of days time hopefully.
Again i'm so greatful to the people on this club for your continued support in all of this.

Life is not a straight line Mark.
Why do you think I love my MK1 so much?
I am going to live forever, or die trying!
Re: spotted on ebay
I would have loved to have seen how he'd have transferred the car without the V5. They still require proof of ownership before the vehicle can be registered.
Foolish and possibly criminal step there I think.

Re: spotted on ebay
tiamat,
gotta disagree buddy,
i work in a scrapyard and ive brought three cars in the past 12 months all without v5 or bill of sale.
form v62 from the post office, and a cheque for about £20 gets you a log book in your name in ten days,
not saying i agree with it,but it really is that simple.
exceptions are if the owner has returned the log book to swansea stating it has been scrapped at an autherised treatment facility,
or if the car has been subject to a police order ordering its destruction.
their may be other exceptions, which dont immediately spring to mind,
a cod or certificate of destruction should be issued to the last legal owner of the vehicle, which is not neccassarily the name stated on the log book,
because as we all know the name on the logbook is only the name of the registered keeper, and not in all case the owner.
sorry to rabbit on,just thought it might clear things up a bit.
