Intercooler difference

Post by mr2nut123 »

Just to say ive got my XS power intercooler fit and apart from having to bodge on the old hoses using great force and wd40...i'm VERY impressed with the quality and the overall package. One thing i have noticed is the immense sound... I bet your thinking whats he on about but i've got an apexi induction kit on the car and before i fit the intercooler, there was a woosh noise. Now its about twice as high pitched and sounds great  Any ideas why the sound changes? Is it because the intercooler can deal with greater air volume?

your high pitched noise could be a boost leak mate....

Do you think its coming from the intercooler itself or do you reckon the hose is slightly lose? The thing is, the car feels as it was, if not slightly quicker.
