v6 mr2 owners?

Post by Simon »

Hi,
After reading up on v6 mr2s I think this is the way forward rather than buying a tubby; only problem is Paul Woods demo car is a fair trek from where I live just to go for a test drive. Does anyone know if there are any v6 mr2 owners near the south at all who'd be willing to take me out for a spin? Thanks

Are you specifically after a Mk2 V6 or would a MK1 do? I know there's a MK1 V6 owner not too far from you. Best place to ask is twobrutal.co.uk.

Good choice BTW.

Hi mate, yeah a mk1 would be fine just to get an idea of what the engine's like, but I'd be buying a mk2 n/a and getting the conversion done on that. Is the v6 mk1 owner on this forum?

I dont think he is. Register for twobrutal and I'm sure you'll get an answer

HA !

i dropped my MR2 off up to Mr Woods last friday...ONLY a 6 hour drive ( hee hee ) from east sussex

my V6 engine will be up there by friday.....4-5 weeks later my MR2 will be done and dusted and back down South.

i go to southampton a fair bit to see the g/f.....if you havent had a blip in a V6 before then..would be happy to rip you around one time i am down there.

if you have ever been in a turbo then the V6 is the same kick, but no lag. oh and the noise it makes when you nail it.....OOOOOOOOH YEAAAAAAAAAA !!!

Sounds cool.

How does the rest of the performance figures stack up against the tubby?

I'm intrigued... :-k

i didnt have enough of a play in it really, but was impressed with the accelaration in any gear in any revs. compare it to a turbo and theres no waiting for the turbo to spall up !!

i'll let you know when mine is all done !
