Hi all having looked over this site it helped me decide on my first purchase of a MR2 and this site looks cool and interesting so decided to join
For my first post i would like to ask the question what is the difference in a G limited from a normal MR2(if there are any normal MR2s)??cos thats what i bought

the g-limited, is an aniversary model celebrating 10 yrs of the mr2

it has as standard a wooden steering wheel and i think it has stainless sill plates

not to sure what else!

not really, haynes didn't even make manual for the mr2.....lazy sods

but if you get any problems, do a search on here, im sure someone else has had the problem before

I thought the G-limited was the version sold in Japan, and only available in the UK as a "grey" import.

The main advantage being that it usually comes fitted as standard with all the extras like, aircon, climate control, electric folding mirrors etc. Plus of course there's a good chance of less rust and mileage for the same year.

the GT and G-limited are n/a's

the GTS is a turbo

G-ltd is the Jap import, its not an aniversary model itself.

yeh Rich, what you on about......

a g limited is any 3SGE engined imported car from japan.......

bar the BEAMS vvti.......which is also labelled the glimited as well, but were rev5 only i think......

uk 3SFE engined car i think is just badged coupe......or just called coupe...
there is a import "G", altho ive never seen one in the uk, and they have same engine as glimited with same power....but just less goodies......

If you mean techinical manuals there are links on this site to both the official Toyota dealer workshop manual and parts catalogs.

If you mean just books about MR2's in general there are 2 although I've forgotten the name - someone help me out here - its called something gold - they do a series of them on all sorts of cars. Its got reviews of the models etc

ALso the "Dummies guide to Car Hacks and Mods" is written by an MR2 owner and a lot of the examples in the book are based upon his own car.
