I also asked about getting some rear mudflaps in black. Wait for it, - £60 each!!! So i'll wait till i can find some secondhand first i think!

There's a guy on ebay breaking a red MKI he may have the mudflaps still... contact him through ebay

Its quite suprising how many people are actually doing this! The Mk1 is a very good fun car. I bought mine with the intention of not doing much to it - but have ended up sorting it completely mechanically, but the rust will probably get it in the end.

In the meanwhile, it makes a really good fun and cheap trackday car

Scooter if you do need to get stuff from the Toyota garage in Slyfield Ind estate see if you can get to talk to Steve Pearse he knows Mk1s pretty well and is a nice bloke. No discounts unfortunately!

Lauren I'll ask Eddie about some black mudflaps if you like, I know he's got at least one black Mk1 in at the moment.

They are great fun and even better value for money.

Its seemingly very economical also, have to say its early days in my ownership but a better car for the money i think would be hard to find.

That's the chap, he's got quite a stock in at the moment, there were about 7 cars last time I was over there (about a month ago). Not all are being broken but I know he's just bought another load from a garage clearout.
