coil lead?

Post by Flamby »

Heya people,

just wondering if you could answer a quick question for me, my car is in having all the ignition bits changed and I thought I had bought all the bits I needed to carry out the change but my friend rang me up today to tell me he's found the damaged culprit which has been causing my hesitations and miss firing, its the "coil lead" apparently and I hadn't bought a replacement as of yet...

so anyway I am going up to Toyota tomorrow and am I right in saying that a coil lead is the same as CORD, COIL RESISTIVE ( part number 19901A in toyota epc and it is also displayed here http://www.ayrpark.plus.com/epc/toyota/ ... 01_19.html

would be great if someone could just confirm but so far this seems to be the only thing I can imagine it could be :)

Thanks for reading this.

The part you refer to (Coil Resistive Cord) is the king lead.

Whether or not that's what your friend means is another matter :-k
Ask him if he means the lead that goes from the ignition coil to the dizzy cap.

If you've replaced all the other ignition components but not this then it's certainly worth doing do.
