It would be good nettiquette to post the details on this forum rather than link to other forums.

For this reason i have removed your link. If you wish to discuss it here please post all teh details here.

how pathetic that you wont let me post a link to a forum!!

i have posted the pics up on various forums and its a pain to keep having to post up the images as there spread out because there work in progress pictures!!

theres no reason for you not to let me link to that website at all other than the fact your just being peti about it!

i wont bother posting the progress pics in here then.

Sorry guys if you are intrested in the project take a look on www.mr2oc.co.uk in mr2 chat.

any pics, I cant believe this topics been stripped bare so its now worthless! ](*,)

no need for it tbh lauren, you dont want to lose members due to someone posting links, but like people are going to stick around when they cant post what theyve been upto especially when its MR2 related :? ??? hmm time to ease off with the moderating i reckon eh!

*Pics were not stripped just a link to a homepage of some forum.*

Which you then had to search around for the thread.

Maybe in future if your going to post in many forums just copy the text so that you can just paste in the others?

I'd actually like to see what you've done.

My moderating this is not open for debate. Dale your opinion is not warranted. I can think of a good example of some guy you used to constantly moderate in order to remove his link to his own forum.

If you don't want to post progress pics in here thats your call but don't expect it to be discussed fully.

the link wasnt to a home page and if it was that was a mistake and i wasnt told that just now bu lauren i could understand why it was removed if that was the case.

right apparently i have annoyed admin as clearley the site i linked to is my own which it atually isnt so heres a site which clearley isnt my own and a link straight to the pictures!

im not breaking any laws this time am i?? it is another mr2 club after all?

http://www.mr2oc.co.uk/index.php?name=F ... 9&start=60

ps the reason i cant just copy and paste all the images is because there dotted around the thread as the post is updated everynow n then when i get new images.

MY opinion IS warranted because im a member of this forum, ill say what I want.

if you want to spam this topic more by dragging up who and what I moderated then here we go.... The member I kept moderating was CONSTANTLY linking his site at the bottom of each post, TRYING to gather new members, projectprelude linked to show what work he had done, big difference

I think I remember one of the reasons I left the mod team now.... :)

Oh well.

Seeing those pics, I'm not too sure on the mod.

May look better close up in person maybe.

Look forward to seeing the finished version.

You certainly aren't afraid to try new things man.

Obviously contesting the decision of moderators is a non-starter:

IMOC requires that members respect the final decision of moderators: Threads and posts questioning the actions or final decisions of forum moderators will be deleted. As a member you have the right to email the Admins at the address above regarding action taken at IMOC

But this "nettiquette" idea intrigeues me?

It's not in the forum rules, so some guidance or framework is going to be needed before moderation can take place IMO.

I often post links here to other sites, 99% of the time to help members out with problems.

Does this mean I now have to host all these images, and copy and paste text and pictures myself before I can post assistance here?

That doesn't seem in the interests of forum.

Also, a distinction between gereral discussion links and technical advice links is also going to get arbitrary pretty quickly.

Just my 2 pence. This probably needs a new topic in "suggestions", or an e-mail to the admin really, but at least people can see an example of it in this post to form their own opinions.

Okay, my final post on this... i don't want to dilute this thread with rule debates. We have recently revised the rules but they are not up yet, they will be very shortly. Its a complex area, but i would prefer if we don't get into a debate about it here. It does not mean that every picture has to be hosted here.
