Great cars, I bought mine about 2 months ago. Needed some bits sorting and has rusty arches like yours but when you drive it you will forget about the bodywork. Keep reading the forums they are great for advice and parts. Also if you are in the Hudeersfield area then S-Bits in Barnsley (where I live) is a great place for parts and service.

What a great car !!! =D> you must be over the moon with it, dont worry about the arches everyone has suffered this problem in some form or another & youve picked the right season to work on them. The most important thing to do is to just get out there & drive it, if nesessary get a list together of what you want to do/improve on the car & do one job a day, every day weather its a big job or small one. It took me 6 years to restore my old 1957 Austin A35 van, but i drew up a list & did one job everyday cash permitting. This way you will learn so much about your car. Dont forget to get yourself along to some meets this summer, the south east section of the MK1 club have some of the largest turnouts at club meets & we have some great shows we are attending this year... Dont forget the Mecca of all meets JAE2006 at the peterborough show ground where you will see so many MK1's . Enjoy..... Jinxy
