can you fit 80/100W Lightbulbs?

can you fit 100W high power head light bulbs in the mr2?
are the wires amped with a 20?

They aren't road legal afaik. I've got some philips bluevision jobbies (50W).

However I know people who have run 100watt bulbs on the mk2 without problems 8)

hi me and my friend have changed our headlight blubs with 100w off road ones. :D there not legal you also have to change the fuses to a 20w instead of the 15w

80/100's in the headlamps for two years, no problems. Very nice at night. No probs with MOT as intensity isn't part of the test, only colour and alignment.

Dan, try some +50% standard bulbs - they'd give you as much light and they draw less power. Autoexpress tested a load a while back, and Phillips Vision Plus came out top. Last year, the Halfords +50 bulbs came near top too - they're what I use in the Roadster and Mk1.

Agreed - I got some Osram Silverstar +50's from http://www.powerbulbs.co.uk/ - amazed at the difference.
