Me vs car in my garage

Post by Mk1 Turbo Powered Steve »

These posts make me want to take my sc out of the garage and on the road.
My sc only comes out occassionally :(
Mainly used for events and pub meets.Except when the sun is out in the summer, then i give it a great blast and try to take on everything :D .
I know most of you tubby owners don't think much of the sc's but i and Pete Mason have proven that our cars aren't as slow as you think!

We can take on most tubby's unless they are well modded!!!

I just thought i would throw this one in and maybe get a few more posts on the vs section

nicely put stevey boy
it will wind them up a bit
we know the tubbies are quicker but though the back roads on pick up etc i would not like to say which would be quicker
had a little play with a tubbie on the motor way both booting it he pulled 1 maybee 2 car lengths on me
which made me chuffed:)

yeah having owned both a mk1 n/a albeit and the current rev3 tubby I'd say a s/c mk1 is going to be right up there with the tubbies.

The mk1 just handles like nothing else and a supercharged version with a big pulley on it has got to be darned quick in the real world.

Wish I'd kept my old one got all the panels repaired that needed it and gone the rev3 turbo transplant or at least the s/c conversion. Might still buy an s/c import yet.......

buy my conversion! 1K.

Yes the SC is a ballistic road car, I will actually be glad to see it go though as i fear for my licence.

Am quite looking forward going to a pretty much stock NA.

FWIW, looking back on the Donington footage, The MK1 NA I've got was only a few seconds slower around the track than my tuned Rev 2 turbo was a few years back, and just as much fun.

At the end of the day, in a 'vs' situation on a twisty road, the Driver is going to make more difference than the number of BHPs lurking under his bonnet (or engine lid) :)
