Another Headunit Problem

I have just recently got a MR2. Want to change the Headunit from the one that was installed as standard in Japan. I have taken the headunit most of the way out and unplugged the ISO and Aerial but there is another wire, similar to the aerial, hard wired into the headunit and disappears off behind the dash! Does anyone know what it is? Can i just cut it off?

maybe the AM aerial? ie the one that runs down the middle of the windscreen. Although this shouldn't hardwired :?

Took my head unit out this afternoon and if it is the one i think it is it should just pull out mine was a bit tight but it was'nt hard wired think it is for the a front windscreen thingy
