Mk1a and Mk1b exhaust..any differences?

Post by boondougal »

Hi all,

Just wondered if any one can let me know what differences there are between mk1a and b exhausts, especially any difference in the down pip/centre section.

all comments appreciated!!

Cheers

there may be minor differences if you look at the toyota parts list but any non supercharger exhaust will fit early and late.if you are looking at after market then i have had a magnex on a couple of cars and find them great.

cheers crazy legs...i would like a SS exhaust but pennies a bit short at the moment with the amount of work i'm doing on her. Going to be putting my own Custom exhaust on using elise back box(seen a few people with it..another Paul Woods mod i believe) so i'm looking at getting a mid section to use for the manifold flange and flexi joint..i guess as long as the manifold joints are the same then i'll be ok.

as i'm cutting it up i kind of wanted a spare...just incase i want to go back to standard at some point...maybe!!

Cheers

I bought a Magnex off a guy with a mk1 B fitted it to my mk1a for a month or so (perfect fit) then sold it to a guy with a mk1b again...only due to me selling my car though...

so yep.
